Gift voucher terms
Effective 1 October 2026
1. Who issues your voucher
Your gift voucher is issued by the business named in your SMS (the "merchant"), not by Loyo Rewards. Loyo provides the technology that records the voucher and sends you its details. The SMS shows the voucher's value or description, its expiry date and how to use it.
2. How to use it
- Show your SMS or voucher link to the merchant's staff and ask to use it.
- We send a one-time code by SMS to the phone number the voucher was issued to.
- Give the code to the staff to confirm. The voucher is then used.
3. Expiry
Use your voucher by the expiry date shown. After that date it may no longer be valid, as far as the law allows.
4. Value and conditions
- Vouchers have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or change.
- The voucher must be used in one visit.
- A voucher cannot be combined with other offers unless the merchant says it can.
- Vouchers depend on the product or service being available.
- The merchant has full control on the goods or services provided upon redemption of a voucher.
5. Lost or stolen vouchers
Your voucher is linked to your phone number. If your phone is lost or someone else may have access to it, contact the merchant straight away. The merchant may reissue the voucher after confirming who you are. Neither the merchant nor Loyo is responsible for use by someone who has access to your phone or code.
6. Resale
Vouchers must not be sold or traded.
7. Problems and refunds
For questions, errors or refunds, contact the merchant. Loyo is not the seller of the voucher and does not hold money for it. Your legal rights are not affected by these terms.
8. Your information
We use your phone number to send your voucher and one-time code, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
